Over the last few years, I have been responsible for writing proposals to potential DVD, Video, and Web design clients. I find that this type of work is enjoyable, interesting, and I seem to have a knack for connecting with the audience by keeping the material understandable and concise. Of course, the best part of the job is the feeling of success when a client signs off on the project and you know that all the hard work has payed off.

In many of the documents I have worked on, I have had to explain technical issues to clients in everyday terms. When it comes to technical writing, I believe I possess many traits that help me break down and convey complex ideas in a simple fashion:

• 1) a strong mechanical and scientific mind
• 2) a firm grasp of grammar and language
• 3) the ability to design and layout documents, illustrations, and interactive systems
